WheyUp brings its hybrid protein and caffeine approach to the bar format

Wheyup Protein Bar

WheyUp started as a protein powder company that took a hybrid approach to the incredibly competitive category, infusing a clear and refreshing protein supplement with the electrolyte source coconut water and energizing caffeine. The product is incredibly lean, with just 24g of protein for 100 calories, but today it’s not about powder, as the brand has come out with a second innovation with the same sort of benefits in edible format.

The WheyUp Protein Bar is a snack that relies mostly on whey, then collagen and casein to give you 20g of protein per piece alongside 16g of carbohydrates, only a gram of sugar, 9g of fat, and 200 calories. Again, like the original WheyUp Protein Powder, there is a hybrid twist to the edible supplement. In addition to the 20g of protein and reasonably lean other macronutrients, there is a moderate 65mg of natural caffeine.

WheyUp has been around for a few years with its flagship clear protein powder, and now it has taken a very likely next step by bringing that approach of protein and caffeinated energy into the functional space. You can grab the edible product directly from the brand’s online store at $42 for a box of 12 bars, working out to $3.50 each, which is more than most bars, and it comes in the one crispy Double Chocolate Bar flavor.
