Real Good Foods improves the flavor and crunch of its extra-high-protein chicken fillets

Real Good Foods Improved Chicken Fillets

Real Good Foods’ breaded chicken fillets have always stood out by delivering the sort of crispy chicken sandwich experience you’d expect from fast food, but with significantly much stronger macros. Each whole-cut chicken breast fillet packs 20g of protein with only 4g of net carbohydrates and 4g of fat, using a breading made with chickpea flour and whey protein powder to keep nutrition lean without sacrificing that familiar crunch.

The company has now gone back and upgraded the recipe, promising its tastiest fillets yet. Real Good Foods confirms the new version once again centers around premium whole-cut chicken breast, but with an even crispier coating, juicier texture, and a bolder flavor profile. It also highlights a more perfectly seasoned breading, aiming to improve on the crunch, which is the part that makes it feel more like fast-food fried chicken.

The macros are a bit higher all around, as it seems the pieces are bigger too, at 23g of protein per fillet, more than the original, although you then get more carbohydrates and fat at 5g and 7g respectively, and a calorie count of 180.
