Swedish functional specialist RE:DO infuses its latest snack with 3g of creatine

Redo Creatine Peanut Protein Bar

Sweden’s RE:DO Foods has a rather diverse set of functional foods, now with four different innovations, rather than just sticking with the one core competitor. Alongside its classic RE:DO Protein Bar, the brand offers a Crunchy Nut Bar for added texture and a caffeinated option combining plant protein with coffee-inspired flavors and an energy boost. Its latest takes things in another direction by bringing the increasingly popular creatine into the fold.

The newcomer is the Creatine Protein Bar, a 40g vegan-friendly snack combining pea and soy protein with a respectable amount of tried-and-true creatine monohydrate to support strength and performance. Tipping the scales at 40g apiece, you can imagine the protein isn’t all that high, and it’s not at 11.5g, while the carbohydrates come in at 10.5g, half a gram of that is sugar, 6.7g of fat, a solid 3g of creatine, and lastly, a calorie count of 156.

The timing of the innovation is particularly fitting as creatine continues expanding beyond traditional pills and powders, and into functional foods and beverages. It has quickly become one of the industry’s fastest-growing ingredients, and RE:DO is taking its share of that in the Creatine Protein Bar. There are two flavors that have surfaced, both sounding quite tasty in Caramel and Peanut, available now from PressbyrĂ„n and 7-Eleven convenience stores.
