TruBar introduces a bigger higher-protein snack packing 18g of protein

Trubar Pro

The functional food innovator TruBar is primarily known for its signature, self-titled TruBar, featuring a thinner, flatter design compared to most protein bars, with a few other features that separate it from the immense competition. The product is also completely dairy-free, has no gluten or seed oils, doesn’t have any sugar alcohols, and has more flavors than you’ll know what to do with. This week, though, at TruBar, it is all about its entirely new snack, the TruBar Pro.

TruBar Pro is the brand’s higher-protein offering, which is 20% bigger in size, but there is about 50% more protein at 18g apiece. TruBar maintains all of the highlights of its original edible offering, including no dairy, gluten, or sugar alcohols. TruBar Pro relies on brown rice and pea protein for its 18g of protein per bar, with 23 to 25g of carbohydrates, a low 6g of that sugar, 10 to 12g of fat, and calories up around 230 to 250, all alongside delicious taste and texture.

The higher protein area of the protein bar category is a tough one, with the likes of Barebells and Grenade giving you 20g of protein, low sugar, and a genuinely candy bar experience. TruBar is targeting that corner of the market with its Pro Bar, although it does have the plant-based hook that sets it apart from most competitors. The flavors all look delicious in Chocolate Pea-Nut Job, Caramel, But Make It Salty, and the decadent Cake It ‘Til You Make It. They’re all available direct at $34.99 for a box of 12, just 10% more than a regular TruBar.
