Kraken Pump Review: Noticeably effective pump pre-workout

Kraken Pump Review

Last year Sparta Nutrition released its stimulant free, pump pre-workout competitor, Kraken Pump. The supplement got its name from the brand’s stimulant pre-workout Kraken, which is really what built the reputation for Sparta when it launched back in late 2016.

We recently got ourselves a few tubs of Kraken Pump to find out first hand if it’s as good as the brand’s original stimulant pre-workout. The formula certainly looks impressive with a solid 6g of citrulline, 2g of HydroMax and a handful of other pump enhancers, so we definitely thought it’d be worth a go.

Noticeable effects

Right from the beginning, we used Kraken Pump’s maximum serving or two scoops, purely because we’ve had similarly dosed products in the past, so there was no need to start slow. Thankfully at that two scoop maximum, Kraken Pump is very effective, coming through with a noticeable pump enhancing experience.

Kraken Pump Review

We don’t feel Kraken Pump gets the blood flowing quite as urgently as other pump competitors, however, the end result is still the same. After a few exercises, you’ll definitely start to notice your muscles get a fuller, denser pump going, which really only grows as you progress through your workout.

For us the type of pump you get from the Sparta supplement falls more on the dense side, with just a small amount of fullness to it. You’ll find that after you get through a good number of sets, the product pushes you to an intense, hard pump, where each and every rep is painfully enjoyable as it forces you to feel every part of your muscle as it contracts.

Stacked with Kraken

While Kraken Pump is quite effective all on its own, we did get a chance to try it with the original DMHA Kraken formula, and we were not disappointed. Where Kraken Pump gets your muscles fuller and harder, Kraken encourages you to push through that pump, continue to knock out reps, and it provides you with the energy to do so from start to finish.

Summary

As expected, Sparta Nutrition does come through with an effective experience in Kraken Pump. The product took very little time to prove that it does indeed enhance muscle pumps, taking just a couple of exercises to get us to a better pump than we could obtain without it.

The dense, hard pump you get from Kraken Pump makes it a strong competitor in the growing stimulant free pre-workout category. We found it to be quite similar to the likes of MAN Sports’ Pump Powder and PEScience’s reliable High Volume, and it doesn’t hurt that it comes in delicious candy flavors like Sour Gummy Bear and Rainbow Candy.
