GNC reports its second quarter results with a 14.3% loyalty membership increase

Today the major supplement retailer GNC, reported its financial results for the second quarter of 2018. The company has provided a few words going over key points of the results, although you can check them all out, in full for yourself on its website.

Some areas GNC highlights for its second-quarter results include a 14.3% loyalty membership increase compared to the previous quarter, and a decrease in consolidated revenue compared to the same quarter in 2017 of $32.3 million. The company also says last year’s sale of the Lucky Vitamin resulted in a reduction of $22.6 million in revenue.

GNC’s net income for the quarter is down as well compared to the same quarter in 2017, dropping $3.3 from $16.6 million to $13.3 million. The CEO of GNC Ken Martindale has said, “During the second quarter of 2018, although we experienced some softness in our U.S. brick and mortar business, we delivered meaningful growth in our e-commerce and international businesses consistent with our long-term growth initiatives”.
