Halo Top announces three creative new flavors exclusively for Canada

Halo Top has announced a bunch of new flavors for its original, high protein, lower-calorie ice cream, although there is a bit of a catch to the release. All of the fresh new flavors introduced by the functional frozen food company are, in fact, exclusive to Canada, and to make them even more intriguing, they’re inspired by classic sweet treats from the country.

The three flavors of the protein ice cream Halo Top has put together just for Canada include Maple Pecan featuring a pecan, maple syrup, and brown sugar-flavored ice cream, with tasty caramel swirls and pecan pieces. Next is Butter Tart, with buttery caramel-flavored ice cream filled with delicious streaks of butter tart filling as well as bits of pie crust and pecan.

Last but not least is Chocolate Honeycomb featuring a honey-flavored ice cream packed full of chocolate fudge swirls and sweet honeycomb nougat pieces. They all have a typical Halo Top ice cream nutrition profile providing 17 to 20g of protein per pint, just over 60g of carbohydrates with about half of that sugar, and 350 calories, except for Honeycomb, which has 330.

While there are region exclusive products with the likes of the Platinum Series and Chilled Desserts, this is the first time we’ve seen Halo Top create specific flavors for a certain part of the world. Fans of Halo Top that are in Canada can look forward to seeing the three products in freezers soon at supermarkets such as Loblaws, Save-On-Foods, and Metro Ontario.
