Last year, the functional brand LightWhey from the United Arab Emirates debuted an exciting and great tasting product, with a high-protein ice cream sandwich. The unforgettably delicious treat is a pair of malt biscuits with creamy, vanilla-flavored ice cream in between, but despite tasting like an actual, sugar-loaded ice cream sandwich, it has 10g of protein and 144 calories.
The LightWhey product actually won our Best Tasting Product award at the 2019 Dubai Muscle Show, although one thing we did mention was we’d love to see the brand expand into more flavors. This week the creative company has come through and delivered exactly that, with a chocolate high-protein ice cream sandwich featuring rich and creamy chocolate ice cream.
LightWhey’s second ice cream sandwich flavor is higher in protein than the vanilla, packing 11.9g of protein per sandwich and 7.7g of sugar, also resulting in a slightly higher calorie count. Based on how good the brand’s original high-protein ice cream sandwich tastes, we have to imagine this one will be even better, mostly because we’re more chocolate fans than vanilla.
LightWhey’s Chocolate ice cream sandwich is available now in the United Arab Emirates through its direct-to-consumer online store, with its many retailers across the country to follow.
