Be Legend celebrates Japan’s Star Festival with two special edition protein flavors

On several occasions, the Japanese brand Be Legend has shown how creative it can be, putting together unique, special edition, and mostly collaboration flavors, typically for its whey-based protein powder. Today the brand is at it again, releasing two new tastes for its protein powder, both themed around Tanabata, the traditional Japanese Star Festival.

The two flavors Be Legend has created are named after the deities Orihime and Hikoboshi, which the Star Festival is a celebration of. The story is the deities are separated by the Milky Way and can only meet once a year on the seventh day of the seventh month. Today is that day, and as mentioned, Be Legend is celebrating with limited flavors of protein powder.

The actual taste of the Japanese brand’s Star Festival supplements is Strawberry Milk for Orihime and something equally refreshing and fruity for Hikoboshi in Blueberry. The products have a similar nutrition profile with between 20 to 21g of protein per serving, 4.7 to 5.1g of carbohydrates, 300mg or less of sugar, and a moderate calorie count of 116 to 119.

Be Legend’s major retailer Real Style is now stocking the Orihime and Hikoboshi protein powders at ¥3,200 (28.90 USD) but as mentioned, they are both limited edition launches, so they aren’t around forever.
