Brave Robot is an incredibly unique company that came out last year with its flavorful, animal-free ice cream. What made the brand and its product stand out was that it is indeed animal-free but also a dairy ice cream. Brave Robot uses non-animal whey protein that it says is made using plant sugars and fermentation, resulting in a dairy-like taste and texture that’s lactose-free.
We thought the idea of non-animal whey protein was incredible and something that will very likely make its way into sports nutrition at some point in the future. While we have still yet to see that, Brave Robot is still growing and expanding its brand, and this week it has come out with its second-ever product, which like its original ice cream in eight different flavors, uses that non-animal whey protein.
Climate Hero Super Cake Mix is Brave Robot’s newest product, with a baking mix that you can use to create your own eight-inch animal-free yellow cake. We don’t know the precise macros on the cake mix, although its ice cream is not high-protein, low-sugar, or anything like that, so we imagine that’ll be the case with this one.
Brave Robot’s non-animal whey protein-powered Climate Hero Super Cake Mix is not in stock and available to ship right away; however, you can pre-order it from the brand’s online store. The product is relatively pricey, sitting at $18 for a single bag, which is enough powder to make two eight-inch cakes, or buy two and get one free at $36, with pre-orders due to ship on the 1st day of November.
