Gorilla Mind finishes one short of its promise of 12 new flavors of its energy drink

Gorilla Mind Misses Its Goal By One Flavor

Last year, Gorilla Mind made the bold promise that in the 12 months following the launch of its well-dosed nootropic beverage, the Gorilla Mind Energy Drink, it would drop at least one new flavor each month. The extensions came thick and fast shortly after the brand debuted the product in April of last year, quickly expanding on its original four of Arctic White, Orange Rush, Exotic Kiwi, and Black Cherry Vanilla, and putting Gorilla Mind on track for its goal.

We said we would keep track, and over the last year, we have indeed been following Gorilla Mind’s efforts. With that 12 months up in the middle of April, we can confirm the brand didn’t quite make the cut, but it came far closer than any other company out there. When the sports nutrition company made that initial promise it was indeed a bold one, as we couldn’t think of absolutely any energy drink that had added 12 new flavors within its first year on the market.

It’s incredibly difficult releasing a flavor a month for powder products like a pre-workout, amino cocktail, or protein powder, let alone an energy drink, where the production process is vastly different, and the minimum order quantities dwarf that of supplements. With all of that said, Gorilla Mind and the Gorilla Mind Energy Drink did come impeccably close, finishing on 11 extensions made up of Berry Burst, Wild Grape, Lucky Lemon, Tropic Storm, Sour Watermelon Candy, Citrus Rain, Mango Peach, Blackberry Lemonade, Tiger’s Blood, Strawberry Candy, and Lychee Bomb.

We have to imagine the monumental goal of 12 new flavors for the Gorilla Mind Energy Drink just 12 months after its launch wasn’t the end of the push into the highly competitive category; in fact, you could almost count the Gorilla Mind Energy Shot. The more compact shot is essentially the energy drink but in a 3oz bottle, either way, we suspect the brand has more up its sleeve for its energy and focus-enhancing beverage and we look forward to seeing it moving forward.
