Applied adds another protein drink to its lineup powered entirely by collagen

Applied Nutrition Protein Water

Applied Nutrition has plenty of experience in beverage, making all sorts of drinks from protein shakes to sports drinks and, of course, carbonated energy and performance offerings like its signature ABE Energy Drink. Joining the family in the United Kingdom this week is Sparkling Protein Water, which, if you’re at all familiar with clear protein powders, is essentially another name for that type of supplement. In this situation, it is, as mentioned, a drink, so it is indeed a ready-to-drink protein clear protein shake.

Sparkling Protein Water from Applied Nutrition has a moderate 10g of protein per can, although it is worth noting this is not from any form of whey, as you get with most clear-style protein powders. The international brand makes its latest innovation with bovine collagen peptides. It is basically a collagen drink, and that type of ingredient does provide protein, hence the 10g a can. Collagen is a very lean source, and here, it results in less than a gram of carbohydrates, virtually no fat, and a low of 44 calories.

Applied Nutrition has launched Sparkling Protein Water in three flavors, all clean, fruity, and refreshing, as is typically the case with clear protein supplements, in Apple Burst, Orange Burst, and Tropical Burst. There is also coconut water in there combined with the collagen to provide that 10g of protein, a touch of electrolytes, and hair, skin, nail, and joint health benefits. The product is also not expensive, sitting at £23.95 (31.06 USD) for a case of a dozen cans when shopping through Applied’s official online store.
