Barebells sneaks out an all-new innovation for the holidays in a marshmallow protein bar

Barebells Chewy Protein Bar

The Swedish functional food innovator Barebells, the maker of ourĀ number-one-rated protein bar, already surprised us twice these holidays with two limited-time tastes, one for the US and another for its local market, Scandinavia. For America, the brand crafted a Peppermint Bark Barebells Protein Bar, and for Sweden, fans were treated to a classic Gingerbread Soft Protein Bar. Much to our surprise, again, the functional specialist has gone and released yet another delicious, holiday-themed product for Sweden.

The flavor of the third Christmas creation from Barebells is Santa’s Strawberry, but there is far more to this than you may realize. The flavor is not for the signature Barebells Protein Bar or the Soft Protein Bar, it is for a completely new type of bar-format snack from the functional food company in the Barebells Chewy Protein Bar. It promises a ridiculously smooth texture that’s in line with the likes of marshmallow, and knowing the capabilities of Barebells and European manufacturing, this is in no way an exaggeration.

The other key feature that has us believing the Chewy Protein Bar from Barebells is on point is that it’s not big, tipping the scales at 40g a piece, and the nutrition is scaled back on protein at 10g a piece with 14g of carbohydrates, a gram of that sugar, 6.2g of fat, and 140 calories. The taste on this one includes a soft, mallow strawberry center and sweet white chocolate around the outside. The Santa’s Strawberry Barebells Chewy Protein Bar is available first at Tyngre, individually at 23 SEK and in boxes of 12 at 299 SEK.
