Alpron improves the overall taste of WPC Protein alongside a colorful new look

Alpron Improved Wpc Protein

Alpron in Japan has updated one of its longer-running, core supplements, in the whey-based protein powder WPC Protein. The simply named product relies entirely on whey concentrate to provide its protein, hence the title, at around 20g in a standard 30g serving, which does leave open a fair amount of space for other macros. You do indeed get that at between 5 to 6g of carbohydrates, under a gram of that sugar, and about a gram of fat, ending on a calorie count of 110 to 120.

The biggest changes fans of Alpron will notice going from the original to its replacement is the packaging has moved to a bright and bold green, as opposed to the Japanese brand’s signature red. We’re not sure if it’s part of a wider rebrand where that color will end up on all of Alpron’s products, but it’s certainly impactful on the new WPC Protein. The formula has stayed the same, although the brand is saying the product is not as foamy or powdery as it once was and tastes much better overall.

A star feature of Alpron’s previous WPC Protein was its menu, as there was an extensive selection of flavors to choose from for both the supplement’s smaller 900g pouch and its more cost-effective, more than three times as big, 3kg bag. That vast variety has stayed, so you won’t be getting fewer options with the upgraded protein powder, including classics like Double Rich Chocolate as well as all of its unique creations like Royal Milk Tea, Yogurt, Rich Banana, and Authentic Matcha.
