Ekkovision promises 28g of protein and just 160 calories in its first-ever functional food

Ekkovision Ekko Bar

Ekkovision may have started in the pre-workout category and exploded within it during its first couple of years in business, although it has since gone on to tackle many other categories in the same reliable and efficacious fashion as it did in pre-workouts. Ekkovision now takes part in protein powder, multivitamin, incredibly well in creatine, energy drinks, and very soon it seems it’ll be in the business of protein bars with the Ekko Bar that promises some pretty impressive macros.

The upcoming Ekko Bar from Ekkovision is said to have 28g of protein, none of that coming from collagen, just a gram of sugar, and a calorie count of 160. That is right up there with the incomparable David Protein Bar, which also has 28g of protein but 150 calories, and it is effortlessly easy to eat, with your teeth sinking right through in every bite. Even though the Ekko Bar won’t hit the heights of David Protein’s macros, there are almost no others out there that come this close.

The lingering question, of course, is how good does the Ekko Bar taste? The macros are clearly great; however, that was the case with the Icon Wag Bar with 15g of protein and only 90 calories. The trouble with that one was it was a straight piece of beef and while it was lean, each mouthful felt like a lifetime to chew. Basically, the claimed nutrition profile is on-point but if the taste isn’t, it’s not going to matter. We look forward to it coming to market, whenever that is due to take place, as well as try it first hand as 28g of actual protein and 160 calories is an achievement in an edible bar.
