The young and growing Zerolabs in South Africa has been making some big moves since we’ve started following the recent release of its high-powered pre-workout Nexus, powered by CarnoSyn, Dynamine, and a solid 325mg of caffeine. The latest news from the brand isn’t about another powder supplement or even capsules; it involves Zerolabs’ first-ever functional food, and it looks like quite the treat in the Zerolabs Protein Bar.
The newly released Zerolabs Protein Bar features an interesting build, where you get a doughy base topped with a crunchy consistency that’s just as thick as the base, then it’s all covered in a hard, flavorful coating. The protein is at the usual 20g per bar alongside a low 2g of sugar, and disappointingly, despite the brand making the product available, it’s really asking consumers to take a leap of faith as it hasn’t shared any other macros.
The total carbohydrates, fat, and overall calories have not been uploaded by Zerolabs, so again, fans are really going to have to trust that it doesn’t go too high in the carb and calorie department, or at least higher than acceptable. There are two flavors available at launch for the Zerolabs Protein Bar in Birthday Cake and a one-of-a-kind Custard Malva Pudding, a traditional South African dessert with a mix of vanilla and caramel.
