Vplabs jumps into clear protein with Blackcurrant and an energy drink-inspired flavor

Vplab Clear Whey

The subcategory of clear-style protein powder continues to grow, even in the United Kingdom and Europe, where brands have been innovating and creating with the concept for several years and even taking it into plant-based protein supplements. Vplab is one of the latest to get into the business of refreshing clear protein products with its simply named Clear Whey, although it does have a couple of features that help separate it from most of the competition.

Vplab Clear Whey relies on premium, high-end Lacprodan whey isolate to provide around 20g of protein per serving, low carbohydrates at just a gram, close to none of that sugar, almost zero fat, and the calories end up well under 100 at 86. To ensure you get a quality experience in terms of taste and texture, the European brand has also infused Clear Whey with something called ClearSoft technology, which is a blend of amino acids, maltodextrin, and erythritol.

The traditional approach to flavors of clear protein powder is refreshing and fruity, and that is something Vplabs has included in Clear Whey for at least half its options in Blackcurrant. The only other taste on the menu of the supplement is Red Bull, seemingly aiming to provide a flavor along the lines of the iconic Red Bull energy drink. You can grab Clear Whey straight from Vplabs’ online store, but it is rather pricey at €45.55 (49.28 USD) for a 500g bag of about 20 servings.
