David confusingly releases raw cod fillets with nutrition as good as its protein bar

David Wild Caught Cod

Over the last week or so, David, the maker of the impossible macro David Protein Bar, has been teasing something rather substantial, even leading it to completely clearing out its social media platforms. The functional brand has been counting down to this day specifically, but what it has gone and launched is actually quite surprising. We thought we may be in for a rebrand or even a new flavor, although both of those are far from what’s happened.

Now available alongside its original David Protein Bar is a box of four, 6oz raw, wild Pacific cod fillets. This is not a joke and is genuinely something you can now buy from davidprotein.com, and you’re about as confused as we are. Obviously, cod is a quality source of protein, and the macros on David’s Wild Caught Pacific Cod are on point with 23g of protein per piece, a gram of fat, no carbohydrates or sugar, and a clean, even calorie count of just 100.

The confusing part is what the hell is raw meat doing in David’s online store next to its ready-to-eat protein bars. You can buy them, so it is serious product, and the cod fillets are in custimzed packaging. The only reason we can think of for this is that the brand is trying to prove a point. The macro balance in the cod fillets is close to the David Protein Bar, and it may be trying to show you how hard it is to get such an impressive nutrition profile.
