Gunna joins the colorful and growing sports drink Flerish as a co-owner

Flerish Hydration

Flerish is one of the newer names in the sports drink space, a colorful one at that, and while it has only been on the market for a little bit, it’s making headlines this week due to its new co-owner. The American singer and songwriter, and Grammy-nominated Gunna, has come on board to support the brand and spread awareness. Flerish was founded by Avery Johnson Jr, a former Division I athlete and NFL and NBA marketing agent.

Flerish makes quite a functional beverage with a focus on hydration and a moderate amount of electrolytes backing up its purpose and promises. It does have some nutrition to it, but the brand is proud of that by way of 9g of cane sugar, contributing to the 10g of carbohydrates a bottle and 35 calories. Flerish uniquely and primarily relies on watermelon juice to provide its electrolytes at a combined 340mg, most of which is potassium.

Introducing Flerish Sports Drink

For an extra bit of functionality, Flerish has put theanine in its sports drink, an ingredient known for its calming and relaxing abilities, although we don’t know how much of it is actually in there. Hydration beverages have come from all corners of the industry in recent years, and with many different approaches. Flerish has done its best to stand out with look, feel, and formula, and now it’s got an ambassador/co-owner to catapult its awareness.

You can find out more about Flerish and its signature sports drink through its website, as well as get your hands on it through the online giant Amazon. It is quite a pricey product considering other complex hydration offerings out there at $34.98 for a pack of 12 in Pineapple, Passion Fruit, and Mixed Berry flavors. The brand is not that old, and with Gunna on its side, we imagine it’s going to quickly evolve in several areas.
