Brazilian brand Mrs Taste did something very different a few months ago with the launch of its Mrs Salted Bar, which is a protein-packed snack with an extremely different flavor theme than anything else we’ve ever seen. The name of the product is a great indication of what it’s about, albeit a surprising one, and that is the Mrs Salted Bar features salty, savory flavors rather than your traditional chocolate peanut butter or cookies and cream.
The first flavor Mrs Taste launched for the Mrs Salted Bar was Salty Garlic Bread, again, unlike anything you’ve probably ever seen in a protein bar. Well, the creative functional company has followed up the three-month-old launch of the savory protein snack with two similarly themed flavors. Now available alongside Salty Garlic Bread are pizza-inspired options in Pepperoni and Margherita, inspired by the traditional pizzas of the same names.
The funny thing is, several years ago, Quest Nutrition did pizza-flavored Quest Bars as an April Fools’ Day Prank; fast-forward to 2025, and it’s reality. Mrs Taste’s Pepperoni and Margherita Mrs Salted Protein Bars sound incredibly intriguing, as much as the original Garlic Bread, and this is all with 9g of protein per piece, 22g of carbohydrates, around 5g of that sugar, and 14 to 15g of fat, leading to some high calories between 240 and 250.
