Inlead makes a crispy wafer-style bar that’s more about low sugar than high protein

Inlead Nutrition Protein Wafer

The functional innovator, Inlead Nutrition in Germany, which has continued to surprise with unique new formats and approaches since its inception, has another completely new edible product to start the month of October. The latest from the brand is actually a familiar type of protein bar, one we’ve seen several times over the years from small to prominent names, introducing the Inlead Wafer Bar.

As the name of the newest Inlead Nutrition product implies, the Wafer Bar is a better-for-you snack in the typical bar shape, but instead of being thick and doughy on the inside, it is light, crunchy, and crispy. The brand’s wafer-style snack features layers of crispy wafer pieces with gooey filling in between, and all covered in chocolate. The functional food is not high in protein; it’s intended more as a better-for-you treat.

Inlead Nutrition’s Wafer Bar keeps the protein to a minimal 2.3g in a 45g piece alongside 26g of carbohydrates, less than a gram of that sugar, 14g of fat, and 219 calories. As mentioned, the innovation is a better-for-you treat, something you’d grab instead of a sugar-loaded candy bar. The Wafer Bar is rolling out in one flavor to start with Milk Chocolate, and it’s hitting stores individually and in boxes of 12.
