Ahead recreates the iconic Oreo cookie without any sugar and lower calories

Ahead Nutrition Double Cookies

Ahead Nutrition in Germany, a colorful, creative, and reliably delicious functional food company, has recreated the iconic chocolate sandwich cookie, Oreo, with a much better-for-you recipe and nutrition. The product is named Ahead Double Cookies, which, in the traditional style of the iconic Oreo and other treats of that style, comes with two soft and crumbly cookies sandwiched together around a sweet and smooth cream.

The newly released Double Cookies from Ahead Nutrition have absolutely no sugar in a single cookie sandwich for 6.6g of carbohydrates, 2.2g of fat, under a gram of protein, and 46 calories. Those numbers are better than a classic Oreo sandwich cookie, which are about the same in weight. The sugar is much higher over there at 4.6g from 8.3g of carbs, 2.3g of fat, and about 16% more calories than Ahead’s 46 at a total of 53.

This is your typical better-for-you alternative, where the calories aren’t drastically different and neither are the carbohydrates, with the sugar being the lower sugar being the core benefit. Ahead Nutrition has made Double Cookies available through its online store in a traditional Oreo-like Cookies & Cream flavor and a smooth Cocoa Cream, both at a reasonable price of €3.39 (3.93 USD) for a bundle of four packs of four pieces.
