Transparent Labs adds a dose of natural caffeine for its Hydrate spin-off

Transparent Labs Hydrate Black

Transparent Labs didn’t actually have a Black Series before this month, although it did have the alternative premium pre-workout Bulk Black, which is a spin-off of its original, well-rounded pre-workout Bulk. This week, the Black naming convention has officially become a series as there is now a second supplement with that approach in Transparent Labs’ Hydrate Black, and like Bulk Black, it is a spin-off of an already available item in the dedicated hydration product, Hydrate.

Hydrate Black isn’t actually all that different from Transparent Labs’ original Hydrate, where you get a very similarly stacked blend of electrolytes to improve hydration, performance, and recovery. That includes a solid gram of sodium, 280mg of potassium, and 50mg of magnesium. The spin-off also has 50mg of the performance powerhouse Senactiv, a gram of taurine, and the difference maker, the feature that separates Hydrate Black is 100mg of PurCaf natural caffeine.

The newly released Hydrate Black is essentially a caffeinated version of Transparent Labs’ hydration-specific Hydrate. There are slight differences in the electrolyte count but it is the inclusion of the natural source of caffeine, PurCaf. The innovation provides all of the same hydration and performance benefits with an infusion of energizing caffeine, and Hydrate Black doesn’t cost too much more at $26.24 for a box of 30 single-serving stick packs versus Hydrate’s $22.49.
