Dunkin’ puts protein milk on its menu to pump up coffees, lattes and refreshers

Dunkin Protein Milk

Dunkin’ has introduced a whole new extension to its menu for the New Year, and it slots the donut maker right into the proteinification trend with protein-packed beverages. Basically, what the major restaurant chain has done is bring in protein milk, essentially milk that’s higher in protein than usual. It is very similar to what other companies in Dunkin’s industry did last year in Tim Hortons and Starbucks, the latter also added protein foam to its arsenal.

With the power of its new Protein Milk, Dunkin’ is letting customers add servings of the innovation to suitable beverages, such as coffees, lattes, and refreshers. In the medium size of a Strawberry Protein Refresher, Caramel Chocolate Iced Protein Latte, and Almond Iced Protein Latte, that results in 15g of protein per cup. Those are stock menu items you can choose from, but again, Dunkin’ lets you add its Protein Milk to many other suitable items.

The numbers don’t get as pumped up as Starbucks’ protein offerings, where you can throw in the protein milk and protein foam. Either way, it’s a great step for the donut and coffee giant, as it brings the muscle-building macronutrient that the supplement industry knows all too well, to a mainstream audience. Dunkin’ has around 10,000 locations across the country, and they’re bringing in Protein Milk, so be sure to try it out on your next visit.
