Crealyte combines creatine, electrolytes and a touch of caffeine in a 16oz drink

Crealyte Creatine Beverage

Over the last few months, we’ve seen an uptick in beverages incorporating the classic muscle-building ingredient, creatine, mostly with it as the core focus of the innovation or in combination with other, similar-minded components. Crealyte came to market last year, and it continues that trend of putting creatine into a ready-to-drink format, although it has mixed things up and thrown in a few other performance-type ingredients.

The newcomer Crealyte and its self-titled debut beverage comes 2g of its key component in traditional creatine monohydrate to support muscle strength, performance, and power. We can’t see any information about the brand doing anything to combat the instability of creatine in solution, which is one of the biggest reasons companies don’t go down this road. Creatine notoriously breaks down in solution, where putting it on the shelf in a bottle for a length of time can result in having far less creatine when you open it then what’s on the label.

As mentioned, there is more than just creatine in the Crealyte innovation, with a dash of caffeine also in the mix at 40mg in a 16oz bottle, some electrolytes to lightly support hydration at a combined 320mg, and zero sugar, carbohydrates, and calories. The newcomer is charging a premium for its energizing, muscle-building, and hydration drink, with a pack of four sitting at $21.99, which works out to $5.50 each in a lone Mixed Berry flavor.
