Basic creatine powder puts beverage specialist State into the supplement industry

State Creatine Monohydrate

The Danish functional beverage brand State already made headlines this month when it went outside of its comfort zone and launched another drink separate from its original flat, bottled, caffeinated flagship product. The big innovation from the company is the hydration beverage, Electrolyte Sport Drink, although it turns out State is not done, as it has come out with yet another new item in a very different format from its familiar ready-to-drink style.

State has actually turned to the world of supplements, an industry it hasn’t really touched if you don’t count its effervescent hydration tablets or protein bars. The other new product from the beverage specialist is State Creatine, a bulk bottle of straight unflavored creatine monohydrate for strength, performance, and power. A full-size tub of 350 has 103 servings at 3g of creatine, or if you want that full daily dose of 5g, you’re looking at 61 servings.

There is a small extension to State Creatine, where, alongside that 3g of classic creatine per serving, you get 60mg of magnesium glycinate to further support intense exercise, performance, and endurance. The supplement isn’t something we haven’t seen before; however, it is a surprise to see the Danish brand get into the supplement industry. The drop makes sense with the popularity of creatine and could easily lead to other fitting supplements from State.
