Optimum covers its new protein bar in Australia in hazelnuts, peanuts and coconut

Optimum Australia Protein Bar 26

Similar to other parts of the world, Optimum Nutrition has a different selection of health and nutrition products in Australia and New Zealand, with several items you just don’t get here in the US and other major markets. We saw one of those hit shelves earlier this month in the Chocolate Honeycomb High Protein Shake, and that is being followed this week with another on-the-go item in the self-titled Optimum Protein Bar.

The newly released Optimum Protein Bar features a main body filled with crispy and crunchy pieces with individual tastes throughout, and around the outside is a solid coating of chocolate topped with flavor-specific pieces. The innovation is starting out in three options: a decadent Dark Chocolate Hazelnut with hazelnut pieces across the top, a peanut-covered Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter, and White Chocolate Raspberry sprinkled with coconut.

The nutrition profile of the Optimum Protein Bar is a bit more moderate than your standard competitor at 14g of protein per piece, 11g of fat, 27g of carbohydrates, counting the maltitol and fiber, under 2g of that sugar, and 239 calories. Those are the macros for the Dark Chocolate Hazelnut flavor, with slight variations across the other two, and you can grab them beginning this month in Australia individually and in traditional boxes of 12.
