Vast focuses on value in Muscle Whey although it doesn’t beat its isolate-infused Pro Whey

Vast Muscle Whey

European powerhouse Vast has been in the business of protein powder for some time, and during that time, it has greatly expanded its selection of competitors to include AWhey Isolate, AWhey Clear, AWhey Coffee, Rice + Whey, Pro Whey, and the vegan-friendly Pro Plant. It has you covered from premium by way of AWhey Isolate and Clear to more standard in Pro Whey, but now it’s gone cost-effective in the newly released Muscle Whey.

The difference with Vast’s all-new Muscle Whey compared to its other offerings is that it relies on whey concentrate and milk protein, no isolate at all, unlike Pro Whey and any of the AWhey supplements. Those two sources combine in Muscle Whey to provide 24g of protein per serving alongside 3.2g of fat, 1.8g of carbohydrates, 1.4g of that sugar, and 133 calories. For a value-focused protein powder, the macros aren’t too bad, especially since sometimes they bloat the carbohydrates and sugar, and in turn, that lowers the number of servings.

The remaining question is how much does Muscle Whey cost, especially next to those other protein supplements from Vast. The usual price of a 2lb tub in your choice of four different flavors is €36.90 (42.59 USD) versus €42.90 for Pro Whey; however, due to getting less protein in Muscle Whey, when calculated out at the protein you get for your dollar, Pro Whey is 2 to 3% cheaper. The new product is a lower cost up front as well as lower per serving, but if it’s protein for your money you are after, Pro Whey marginally has it beat.
