RXBar’s higher protein snack lands its first flavor extension since launch

Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter High Protein Rxbar

RXBar has expanded the menu of its High Protein Bar, the more sports nutrition-focused spin on its signature real-food snack, which debuted with Strawberry Peanut Butter and Vanilla Peanut Butter to choose from. The product keeps the brand’s familiar peanut butter-based format and simple ingredient approach while packing more protein than the original RXBar at 18g per piece, a similar amount of carbohydrates, and calories just shy of the 300 mark.

For the first time since its debut about one year ago, RXBar’s High Protein Bar is getting another flavor on its menu, and it is a rather classic one with Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter. You get a mesh of rich peanut butter and sweet chocolate chips with a pinch more protein than the other two tastes at 19g, an equal 19g of carbohydrates, and 270 calories. The newest RXBar innovation is available first from the big box retailer Target in a convenient box of five at $9.59.
