More information has finally been shared for Dany Garcia and Dwayne Johnson’s upcoming and very exciting fitness and wellness event Athleticon, that is going down for the first time in October of this year. Previously, the only details we had were that it’d be a different kind of event bringing together a lot more than your typical expo combining fitness, wellness, and motivation into the one show.

The update from Athleticon confirms how those different dimensions will be presented in eight months at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. The major features announced for Athleticon include a fitness studio hosting yoga and dance classes, a place to get closer to the world of UFC, conferences with notable speakers, a 60 team basketball tournament, and a festival with live music performances.

“Above all, it’s important for us to reveal elements that showcase what we’ve spent so much time quietly crafting for our audience over the past three years,” said Dany Garcia. “I couldn’t be more excited to unveil this first slate of Athleticon programming. These expressions tell our story so well through each key pillar – athletics, wellness, and entertainment – and include something for everyone.”

There will also be bodybuilding contests taking place at Athleticon with the NPC Worldwide International Championship, and an official IFBB Pro League competition called the ICON World Classic. Bodybuilders will need to have won an IFBB Pro event and receive an invite in order to compete in the first-ever ICON World Classic.

With the latest update, Dany Garcia and Dwayne Johnson’s Athleticon is shaping up to be precisely what it promised initially; a celebration of everything fitness, wellness, and motivation related. For those interested in attending, as previously confirmed, Athleticon is going down at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday the 10th to Sunday the 11th of October.
