Rocka Nutrition, the sports supplement and functional food company from Germany, has shared some interesting news regarding the direction of its lineup and company moving forward. Starting last week, Rocka has stopped re-ordering any supplements and products that are not vegan-friendly, including its many whey-based protein powders or snacks.
The German brand is planning to be completely plant-based and vegan-friendly by the end of the year, so the move to not re-order any products that breach that is a big step. Rocka Nutrition does still have some dairy supplements and snacks available on its website, although that is its last lot of stock, and once that’s gone, none of them are ever coming back.
There are many entirely vegan-friendly supplement companies and functional food brands on the market, although Rocka Nutrition is definitely the first major one we’ve seen make this kind of shift. As mentioned, it has released many dairy products over the years, including the protein powder Yum Yum Whey and the reputable Joker protein bar.
