CICOBar may be downsizing by as much as half but it will keep its nutrition balance

Potential Size Changes For Htlt Cicobar

Greg Doucette and HTLT’s CICOBar has undergone numerous changes throughout its time on the market, originally packing 21g of protein alongside a lean 200 calories, then it was moved into a bigger and softer version with 20g of protein and a slightly higher 220 calories. Earlier this year, HTLT seemed to have completely revamped its CICOBar, named after Doucette’s signature diet saying “Calories In, Calories Out”, featuring a more candy bar-style build with 20g of protein and 230 calories.

The brand has now put out an interesting questionnaire revolving around the CICOBar and, specifically, its overall size. HTLT has put it to fans to decide between one of three sizes of its signature protein snack, either the current version weighing 70g a piece with 20g of protein and 230 calories; 47g a bar, and a scaled-down 13.4g of protein and 154 calories; or 35g with 10g of protein and 115 calories. Keep in mind, those nutrition balances are the same, the brand is purely asking if smaller might be better.

It doesn’t sound like Greg Doucette and HTLT would change the value of the CICOBar too much, as if it were to switch to either of the smaller sizes, from 70g down to 47g or 35g, it promises to increase the number of bars you get per box to 18 and 24, respectively. Smaller can indeed be better when it comes to protein snacks, as depending on the shape, it can allow for more compact bites, resulting in better chew and consistency, but it will be interesting to see what fans decide and if changes are made.
