Protein Works promises big flavor and a little price in The Big Little Bar

Protein Works Big Little Bar

Protein Works is similar to giants like Myprotein and Bulk in the United Kingdom in the sense that it has an incredibly large lineup of functional foods and health supplements. It doesn’t have too many protein bars available with the likes of Loaded Legends and the plant-based Ridiculous, and new-to-market this month is The Big Little Bar. The trick to the name may or may not be what you think, with the “Big” part referring to the flavor squeezed inside, while the “Little” is about the actual price.

The Big Little Bar from Protein Works does indeed provide a good amount of protein for its small 33g size, providing 10g of protein, a bit more than that in carbohydrates at 12g, under a gram of that sugar, about 3g of fat, and 105 calories. The nutrition balance is reasonable, sitting right around the typical protein-to-calorie ratio of 20g of protein to 210 calories. Again, the brand also promises plenty of flavor in The Big Little Bar and it has done that in three different sweet and decadent options.

Protein Works has debuted The Big Little Bar in Chocolate Peanut Punk, Salted Caramel Caramba, and Cookies ‘n’ Cream Cosmic. Inside each of the flavors is a smooth and teeth-sinking doughy center, a surrounding of crispy crunchy pieces, and a coat of rich milk chocolate. As for the price, a box costs £36.99 (47.84 USD) through the brand’s online store, although that isn’t a box of the usual 12 pieces, it has 20, working out to a competitive cost of less than £2 or just over $2 at £1.85 (2.39 USD).
