Fast-growing functional innovator Ahead makes a jelly with only 13 calories a serving

Ahead Nutrition Sugar Free Jelly

Ahead Nutrition is a young and colorful competitor in the functional food space from Germany, and it has one of the most comprehensive and consistently delicious selections out there. We got the chance to sample the brand and its many better-for-you innovations at this year’s FIBO expo in Cologne, Germany, and it did not disappoint. The brand continues to find new ways to grow and expand, with its latest being a powder to make incredibly low-calorie jelly.

The newly released Ahead Sugar-Free Jelly is made with gelatin and various flavoring ingredients, and when combined with water to actually make the finished treat, there is 3g of protein, a minuscule 100mg of carbohydrates, almost no fat, and just 13 calories. There are various flavoring components to ensure you get the three tastes Ahead Nutrition has available in Lemon, Cherry and Waldmeister, translated to woodruff, offering a grassy, vanilla flavor.

Ahead Nutrition Dessert Sauce

Ahead Nutrition interestingly sells its Sugar-Free Jelly with a powder to make vanilla sauce to pour onto the jelly. It actually adds more calories to the food, bringing 42 to the table, but at a total of 55, the combination sounds damn enjoyable. If you like the vanilla topping, the German brand actually made it available more recently by itself to throw on other dishes and desserts, with everything only strengthening Ahead’s already robust lineup.

Feel free to drop on by ahead-nutrition.com to check out everything it has on the market, including the Sugar-Free Jelly and Dessert Sauce. The former will cost you €21.90 for a box of two servings of each of the three flavors and six of the vanilla sauce, but if you’re just after the Ahead Dessert Sauce, you can snatch up five of those at a low €7.90.
