RYSE’s second energy drink is going to be infused with 8g of protein and prebiotics

Ryse Protein In 12oz Energy Drink

Last week, RYSE announced that it was coming out with another energy drink, and after working for a year to develop a slimmer 12oz version of its original RYSE Fuel Drink, it decided to take a different path and make it something separate. The result was something called the RYSE Energy Drink, coming in a sleek 12oz can, featuring six flavors to start, half of those authentic collaborations, and differentiating active ingredients.

Previously, all we knew was that the upcoming RYSE Energy Drink would have a good amount of caffeine, as it is an energy drink. The popular brand has followed that teaser up with details of what exactly will separate it from RYSE Fuel, and it is a key functionality. RYSE Energy is going to blend an energy drink and protein shake where you get 150mg of caffeine and 8g of protein, plus prebiotics and probiotics to support gut health.

The clash of energy and protein in a canned drink is nothing new, far from it, in fact, one of the energy drink giants took a swing at it with Muscle Monster. The RYSE Energy Drink will be taking a more traditional clear approach, and we’ve seen plenty of those as well with Mammut’s Flexergy, VUUM with a similarly small 10g of protein, Lohilo’s recently released Protein, and, of course, Clear Protein + Energy from Clean Simple Eats.

The hybrid protein-infusion approach to energy drinks has been done before, whether it’s a soda-style drink with a lot or a bit of protein, or a milky protein beverage with a caffeine infusion, achieving the same sort of thing. It will be interesting to see how RYSE Energy Protein Drink turns out, as the brand itself has said it didn’t want to impact the delicious taste of an energy drink too much, which is easier said than done.
