RXBar pushes up to 18g of protein in its all-new peanut butter-based snack

High Protein Rxbar

RXBar has been busy over the years, mostly with flavor extensions, although we have seen a fair share of completely new products, including the deliciously wholesome RXBar Protein Granola and the crunchier AM RXBar. The hugely popular and widely available company has continued to stick to its no BS approach throughout it all, even into its latest innovation, which sees it show some love for the sports nutrition side of things.

The original RXBar has always had a good amount of focus on protein, not as important as its clean set of ingredients, but crucial enough to put a respectable 12g of protein into a 52g bar. New to market this month is the High Protein RXBar, where that balance tips in the direction of protein and pushes up to 18g in a 60g bar. The ingredients are different, as it’s peanut butter and pea protein mostly responsible for the protein in this one.

Alongside those nutritious ingredients, the High Protein RXBar has agave nectar, crunchy peanuts, and flavoring components with strawberries for the Strawberry Peanut Butter flavor, and vanilla beans for Vanilla Peanut Butter. This is a peanut butter-based protein bar, so you can expect an Outright, Anabar, Authentic Bar-like texture, that is typically sweet and incredibly smooth, where some almost melt in your mouth.

The other macros in RXBar’s highest protein innovation to date are 21g of carbohydrates, majority of that sugar at 16g, and 12 to 13g of fat, putting the calories right on par with those other peanut butter bars mentioned at 260 to 270. The High Protein RXBar is now available for purchase at Target alongside its many other no BS real food products, where a box of five protein bars will cost you a reasonable $9.99, which is $2 each.
