Muscle Nation started as an apparel company, and while it eventually expanded into health and nutrition supplements, it found a whole new life when it began making functional foods and landed them at major supermarkets in its home country of Australia. We’ve seen an almost endless supply of protein snacks from Muscle Nation in all sorts of shapes, sizes, and styles, including a couple of months ago when we got a half-sized protein snack bar.
While a smaller offering was the last new functional food we saw from Muscle Nation, this month it is quite the opposite with the introduction of the High Protein Bar. True to its name, the brand’s latest edible product is its highest-protein food to date, boasting 30g of protein per piece from milk concentrate and collagen. The other macros are relatively low, at around 5g of carbohydrates, between 5 and 6g of fat, and reasonable calories.
Unlike some of Muscle Nation’s other mouthwatering protein bars, the High Protein Bar is more standard in build, featuring a dense and doughy main body filled with crunchy pieces and a covering of milk chocolate. The brand has launched its more dense functional food in two flavors, Chocolate Brownie and Cookies & Cream, and you are only going to be able to find them at Coles and its close to 1,000 supermerkat locations in Australia.
