In Germany, Barebells has been teasing two protein bars that are about to hit the market there, one of which we got a look at in the 45g Hazelnut Spread Protein Bar. It’s smaller than either of the full-size products from the brand in the flagship Barebells Protein Bar and Soft Protein Bar. Its protein is a little lower too, at 15g a piece, and following on from Hazelnut Spread, we have details on the second innovation rolling into the German market.
We suspected that with two being teased, the other one would probably be similar to the Hazelnut Spread Protein Bar, as a sort of series. It turns out we were right with our suspicions, as the other product for Germany is indeed a Chocolate Spread Barebells Protein Bar. It has about the same nutrition, with that lower 15g of protein in a lighter 45g snack, 14g of carbohydrates, just 1.1g of that is sugar, 6.4g of fat, and a calorie count of 161.
Based entirely on the name, the Chocolate Spread Barebells Protein Bar is a more chocolate-focused food compared to the nutty Hazelnut Spread, but, of course, coming from the brand they are, they’re all going to taste amazing. Both the Chocolate and Hazelnut Spread products are exclusive to Germany, for now, and are already showing up in stores.
