The Asian brand Mars, available primarily in Hong Kong and Taiwan, first appeared on our radar due to its collaboration with the more recent Dragon Ball Super anime series. Since then, it’s been incredibly interesting to watch the brand grow and expand its selection of products with all sorts of creativity in both flavor, formula, and format. The Taiwanese side of Mars has gone back to that collaboration strategy this month, but with a very different partnership.
Mars has teamed up with the legendary entertainment franchise, SpongeBob SquarePants, specifically around the upcoming The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, hitting theaters in the coming weeks. Mars and SpongeBob SquarePants have teamed up to create four special edition flavors of its whey-based protein powder with SpongeBob’s Pineapple Banana, Patrick’s Pineapple Milk, Mr. Krabs’ Pineapple Iced Tea, and The Flying Dutchman’s Pineapple Green Tea.
SpongeBob SquarePants famously lives under a pineapple under the sea, and that’s why you’ve got pineapple worked into each of Mars and The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants protein powders. If you’re stuck on which one to choose there’s no need as the brand sells them all in a bundle with eight single-serving sachets of each.
