Nutritious breakfast brand Turtle introduces two higher protein products

Turtle Protein Cereal

Better breakfast company Turtle makes granola, rolled oats, and porridge, with a few flavors to choose from, and it’s all in the name of providing nutritious, balanced breakfast solutions. The proteinification trend has now found its way to Turtle, as it has revealed and released two all-new high-protein functional foods. The products are Turtle Protein Cocoa Balls and Protein Flakes & Granola, which are more about extra protein than a lean nutrition profile.

Turtle Protein Cocoa Balls is a crunchy puff cereal that claims 21g of protein on the front, but keep in mind that this is from a large serving of 100g. When you break it down to a more reasonable 50g serving, you’re looking at 10g of protein from added pea protein, 32g of carbohydrates from the corn flour base, with 6g of that sugar. The overall calorie count is 194, so again, it’s more about just getting extra protein than high protein to low carbs.

Turtle Protein Granola

As for Turtle Protein Flakes & Granola has a corn and rice bran flake base alongside granola infused with an infusion of pea protein, leading to 9g of protein in a 50g serving, 3g of fat, 25g of carbohydrates, less than a gram of that sugar, and 181 calories. Similar to Cocoa Balls, you don’t get a huge amount of protein, falling under the likes of Magic Spoon, and keeping the carbs in line with your typical puff-style breakfast cereal and granola.

You can get your hands on either directly through Turtle’s online store, where a box of either Turtle Protein Cocoa Balls or Protein Flakes & Granola will cost you €5.99 (7.09 USD), with a bulk discount available of 5% when you buy eight units.
