Cotton Bomb is actually Recon’s first flavor for Ambush Second Strike

Yesterday we got confirmation of what we thought was a fourth flavor for Recon Nutrition’s pre-workout Ambush. The recipe revealed was the brand’s cotton candy effort, officially titled Cotton Bomb. As it turns out there is a lot more to Recon’s new flavor than we initially thought. Cotton Bomb is in fact the first new option for the brand’s sequel pre-workout Ambush Second Strike.

For its latest supplement, Recon has carried over a lot of ingredients from its previous Ambush. Of the original’s seven features it has kept six, holding on to beta alanine, creatine monohydrate, agmatine sulfate, caffeine, AMPiberry (juniper berry) and choline bitartrate. The ingredient left behind is Oxomine (octopamine), which Recon has replaced with four others in Cocoamine (eria jarensis), epicatchein, and two more types of caffeine, Infinergy dicaffeine malate and caffeine citrate.

Unfortunately since Ambush Second Strike and its predecessor are both proprietary formulas, we don’t know if Recon has kept any of the ingredients carried over for Second Strike at their original doses. It also means we don’t know what any of the new ingredients are included at, just that Ambush Second Strike’s blend weighs only 50mg more than its predecessor’s at a total of 4.3g.

Recon fans can now actually grab the brand’s new pre-workout direct from its website, where it is priced quite highly at $52.99 for a full size 30 serving tub. Fortunately there is a way to save a little bit of money as the brand is running a limited time sale with the coupon code “strike” getting you 15% off, dropping Ambush Second Strike to $45.
