Barebells makes protein pancake and brownie products for the same market as its protein powders

Barebells Protein Pancakes

Barebells has always been an innovative functional food company, being responsible for its category-leading Barebells Protein Bar, several other bar format treats like the Core Bar and Chewy Bar, as well as incomparable protein ice cream on a stick and in pots. In Germany and Austria, the legendary brand changed that rule with last year’s release of various protein powders, including Clear Whey Protein and Casein Protein, and now it has functional protein supplements available.

In Germany and Austria, Barebells has launched Protein Pancakes and Protein Brownies, powder products that can be combined with water and quickly turned into batter to make protein-packed pancakes and brownies. In a 50g serving of the pancakes, you get 15g of protein next to 25g of carbohydrates, under a gram of that sugar, just shy of 2g of fat, and 157 calories. As for Barebells Protein Brownies, that has 13.5g of protein, 27.5g of carbs, also under a gram of sugar, 2.2g of fat, and 122 calories.

It was already interesting to see Barebells come out with all of the protein powders it did last year in Germany and Austria, mainly because they are powder supplements, the first of their kind for the Swedish functional specialist. Now, it is expanding on that, not with more flavors, but more health and nutrition supplements. It’s great to see the Barebells name show its versatility, and we still imagine there is more to come from this with products like this potentially coming to other markets.
