Gatorade infuses its hydration supplement with theanine for a hybrid relaxing experience

Gatorade Hydration Booster Relax

It wasn’t that long ago that the sports drink icon Gatorade brought its legacy name to the business of hydration-based sports nutrition supplements with Hydration Booster, squeezed into the category’s popular stick pack format. The Pepsi-owned company has decided to put a bit of an alternative twist on that particular powder product with a more functional version, introducing Gatorade Hydration Booster Relax.

The Hydration Booster spin-off, Gatorade Hydration Booster Relax, features everything that the original does, including its 300mg of sodium, 100mg of potassium, and 85mg of magnesium, for close to half a gram of hydration-supporting electrolytes. In addition to all of that and to reinforce the “Relax” part of the name, Gatorade has infused the supplement with 200mg of theanine for a calming and relaxing effect.

Gatorade Hydration Booster Relax is basically Hydration Booster with theanine, and like the original, there is some nutrition to it with 7g of carbohydrates, 4g of that sugar, almost all of that added sugar, and a calorie count of 30. There is just one flavor to start for the relaxing hydration product in Raspberry Lemon, and you can get your hands on it first from Amazon at $8.29 for a box of six, single-serving stick packs.
