Hot Rule debuts a yeast-based protein powder packing a solid 75% protein balance

Hot Rule Yeast Protein Powder

Hot Rule in China has been a great brand to keep up with over the last few months, not just because it comes out with some impressively intriguing flavor extensions for its various supplements, but it’s all at a rather fast pace. The well-marketed brand has been releasing one or two new tastes every month since November, and keeping things going in February is not just a flavor, but something completely new for the protein powder category.

Yeast Protein Powder is the latest innovation from the modern Chinese sports nutrition brand Hot Rule, which, true to its name, is a protein powder that relies on yeast for the muscle-building macronutrient, not the standard whey or milk. The brand uses a version of the ingredient that goes through a premium ultrafine process to ensure it tastes as good as its other protein supplements, while also providing a quality high-protein nutrition profile.

In a traditional 30g serving of Hot Rule’s Yeast Protein Powder, you get 22.5g of protein, working out to that familiar 25g of protein in a 33.33g serving. As you’d expect from this sort of product, it keeps the rest of the macros — carbohydrates, fat, and calories — within reason in just one flavor to start. The Chinese market has very different taste preferences, and you definitely get that in the first flavor of Yeast Protein, which is Mung Bean Milk.
