SmartSweets’ hard candy Jolly Gems begins rolling out to stores in Canada

One of the two all-new products, the healthier candy company SmartSweets debuted at this year’s Expo West convention in Los Angeles, is making its way out to stores and stockists in the brand’s home country of Canada. Those products were the sweet and chewy Caramels and the brand’s attempt at hard candy, Jolly Gems, the latter of which is now available.

You can read our hands-on opinion of SmartSweets Jolly Gems in this post here, and as mentioned, they are individually wrapped hard candies. They have that familiar crunchy, hard candy consistency with an impressive level of sweetness, considering they have only a gram of sugar in three candies. The exact macros on that three-candy serving are no fat or protein, 10g of net carbohydrates, and a calorie count of 50.

Every bag of SmartSweets Jolly Gems has a total of 15 hard candies, giving you a total of 5g of sugar and 250 calories a bag, with an even mix of three different flavors in Pink Lemonade, Peach, and Green Apple. The major sports nutrition store Popeye’s Supplements is one of the first to stock the latest creation from SmartSWeets at $9.99 (7.89 USD).
